Comments: Yester is a Schutzhund III., V rated, KKL1, German imported stud dog. His pedigree consists of top German show lines; however his temperament and mental stability are parallel to the working line German shepherd dogs. This makes him truly unique and a wonderful addition to our program.
Protection is not a sport to Yester, he is a very serious dog that will not quit or back down from a threat. His bite is with conviction, he is not equipment oriented, and in real life, he is a dog that will rise to the occasion without hesitation. Previously, Yester served as a family guardian to a professional athlete and his family.
Yester’s build is very proportionate and form follows function in regards to his structure. He carries the phenotype as well as the sable coat coloration of his grandsire VA1, 2X VA2 (BSZS) Timo vom Berrekasten SCHH3, IPO3, FH2 Kkl 1. Timo’s great-granddam, V Assi von der Falkenzinne SchH3, FH, IPO3, was throwback working line crossed with a show line and was from a time (early ‘80’s) & place (Germany) in history when the divide between the bloodlines was not nearly as exaggerated as it is here today in North America.
Yester brings a completely different side of the German shepherd gene pool into our program; this diversification prevents a “bottle neck” in the breed and further helps us maintain healthy, stable, working minded German Shepherds. Yester has already proven himself as a worthy producer when combined with working line genetics.
